London Fashion Week 2013

London Fashion Week

London Fashion Week has ended for another year, and what a show it was. It not only attracted designers from across the globe, but we even saw celebrities such as Victoria and David Beckham, Kate Moss and Star Trek star Chris Pine!

London Fashion Week is one of the highlights of the fashion calendar alongside the Fashion Shows in New York, Milan and Paris. The internationally renowned show is regarded as one of the best places for designers to showcase their designer handbags, dresses, headwear and other pieces.

The highlights of the 2013 London Fashion Week

The 2013 six-day show took place at Somerset House on the bank of the Thames from Friday 13th to Tuesday 17th and saw hundreds of designers from the world of fashion take their designs to the catwalk. Highlights from the show included Nasir Mazhar’s range of ‘Lil’ Kim’ inspired clothing, Mark Fast’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection and Sophia Webster’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection which was filled with beautiful colours and striking patterns.

It wasn’t just clothing that was displayed at the show, there was also a range of designer handbags on show from companies such as Mulberry. There were also a number of designers showcasing what they hope will be the next best thing in handbags. These designers include Anya Hindmarch who showcased some of her Autumn/Winter 2013 handbag & accessory collections, and Larissa Hadjio who displayed some rather striking handbag designs for her Autumn/Winter 2013 collection.

Lulu Guinness at the LFW

We at Fiore were also happy to see Lulu Guinness getting involved with London Fashion Week. During the week Lulu went behind the scenes at the show through a number of fashion insiders. Their blogs took a look at how the show works backstage, how the show is brought to life as well as speaking with the designers.

Lulu Guinness handbags are the latest addition to Fiore’s stock and we’re extremely proud to offer her range of stylish handbags and purses & accessories. What’s more, most of her handbags are included in our online sale.

We hope you enjoyed London Fashion Week 2013, but don’t fret, while the Fashion Week has ended London Fashion Weekend is taking place this weekend. This event is also open to the general public, so why not pop down and get involved?
