What fashion trends are the Olympics inspiring?

Olympics 2012The Olympics are finally upon us after a big build up, and fashion of every description will be in the public eye almost as much as the Games themselves. From figure skating to dressage, beach volleyball to relay:  based on past experience we know we can expect some pretty outlandish ensembles and some cutting edge sportswear conceived by designers at the forefront of garment technology.

What however, of spectator fashion? Well at last the British summer is upon us, featuring SUN!

Yes, we are now able to bare some flesh and remove our raincoats. Some essential items for female Olympic fashion wear include shorts, t-shirts, the casual blazer, skater dress, sneakers (trainers), pullover, and not forgetting your Olympic pin.

Whether you’re lucky enough to have tickets to attend or are making it a social occasion at home or with friends, you’ll be needing a bag to tow essentials like bottled water, phone, pullover and dare I say it… (mustn’t tempt fate) umbrella. We think that Fiore’s large Ariana Drawstring Shoulder Bag by Ochre Blue should do the trick. Alternatively the Taurus Freestyle is great for girls who are on the go and prefer a back-pack design handbag, while the Taurus Fargo is a fine specimen of a man-bag for the other half in your life.
